1950s Ivory Mesh and Tortoiseshell Frame Bag

An exquisite 1950s ivory mesh handbag with timeless mid-century elegance.

 Its structured body is covered in pearlescent mesh links, giving it a shimmering texture, but the standout feature is its gold-tone frame inlaid with tortoiseshell acrylic bars- a classic Hollywood Regency detail from the era.

Complete with a chunky woven strap that can be worn on the shoulder or tucked inside to make a clutch. The interior includes a matching coin purse that came with the bag, and neutral beige lining.

CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition. Exterior shows very minor signs of wear. All discs are intact and clasp is strong and in good working order. The lining shows age spotting where it has been glued but is otherwise clean and zip is in working order.
