Sculptural Mid-Century Black Textured Cocktail Hat with Bow Detail - Exceptional Fit

A beautifully sculptural mid-century cocktail hat in richly textured black fabric. The structured shape holds the head perfectly, giving it a confident architectural presence. 

 The textured surface is one of its most striking features. The fabric has a deep, almost sculpted texture that catches the light, giving the hat depth and dimension rather than appearing flat black. In person the effect is far richer than photographs can fully capture. It was incredibly difficult to photograph this piece and portray it properly. I’ve used a white background for those on a laptop to appreciate it’s beauty. 

 A small grosgrain bow at the back provides just the right finishing detail- understated and elegant rather than overly feminine, allowing the sculptural form of the hat to remain the focus.

The result is a piece that feels both sophisticated and modern despite its age. This is a piece I’m struggling to let go of. It’s definitely one of my favourite pieces in the entire collection.
