Costume National Black Goatskin and Lambskin Leather Mini Skirt

A sharply cut black leather mini skirt by Costume National, made from exceptionally soft lambskin and goatskin leather with a knife-edge. The skirt structure is made from fluid lambskin while the panels are of  goatskin, which is firmer and holds shape. Costume National often used mixed materials like this for structure and contrast, especially in more architectural pieces.

Made in Romania with an Italian label- very common for higher-end Italian brands from the 2000s onward. Many luxury and contemporary Italian brands produced leather goods in Romania as the leather workmanship there is excellent.

The skirt is late-2000s/early-2010s Costume National- sharp, minimal, slightly futuristic tailoring with exposed zip hardware that is so wearable again.
