1970s Spike Punk Necklace | Heavy Silver Tone Statement Necklace | Original Vintage Jewellery

Original 1970s spike necklace in a substantial silver tone metal construction. This has to be one of my favourite pieces in the collection by far. 

This is a genuinely heavy piece with excellent presence. Alternating cube and spike pieces create a strong design, while the spikes rotate between the cube spacers, allowing the necklace to sit differently depending on preference.

The weight and construction immediately set it apart from modern lightweight fashion jewellery. This piece had guts. It has a clean architectural quality that feels just as cool today as it would have during the original punk era.

An increasingly difficult style to find in original vintage examples, particularly in such well-preserved condition. This is true punk.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition. No notable scratches, dents or damage. Clasp functions perfectly and remains secure. Presents beautifully.

Notes

The spikes rotate between the cube elements and can be positioned differently when worn. A substantial piece with intense weight and presence.
