1970s Abstract Camouflage Peplum Top

Unusual 1970s peplum top in a rich abstract camouflage print of caramel, cream, beige and black. Cut with a high neckline, fitted waist and full peplum that creates a sculptural shape from both the front and back.

Made from a substantial polyester knit with far more structure than the lightweight polyester commonly seen in 1970s separates. The detachable belt threads through belt loops at the waist and can be worn tied or removed. Finished with gold-tone cuff buttons and hook-and-eye fastenings at the back neck.

No maker’s label. Likely home sewn by a skilled dressmaker.
