1970s-1980s Prairie Ruffle Dress with Pierrot Collar
A exceptionally well-made late 1970s to early 1980s prairie-inspired dress with a dramatic ruffle collar, mixed stripe and ditsy floral fabrics, and velvet bow trim.
Made in a substantial cotton fabric with enough body to hold the shape of the collar and tiered ruffles. Red trim and a velvet bow at the waist provide contrast against the monochrome palette. The result is an incredible piece that combines romantic prairie with a slightly theatrical Pierrot-inspired feel.
Presented in immaculate condition and appears unworn or very lightly worn.
