1960s Coated Cotton Utility Jacket - Military Inspired Workwear
A true 1960s coated cotton field jacket in an unusual polyurethane-finished fabric that gives the surface a softly textured, almost suede-like appearance.
The piece has a real military influence - epaulettes, functional zip pockets, original crest-embossed buttons and full lining.
This jacket would have been a daily work jacket. It’s the kind of jacket that becomes part of a man. It shows minor wear at the collar consistent with age and use, and has the odd telltale sign of a true daily work coat but this only addd to its appeal and authenticity. The removable zip-in liner appears to be missing, though the jacket remains fully lined and structurally complete. All original buttons and zips are intact.
