1940s Leather and Embossed Velvet Gauntlet Gloves

A pair of authentic 1940s leather gloves with  embossed velvet gauntlet cuffs. The contrast between the black leather and textured velvet creates a look typical of the era, while the elongated cuffs add both interest and elegance.

The leather remains soft and wearable, with shaping through the fingers that reflect their decades of use. The embossed velvet cuffs are very well preserved, and have retained their pattern and structure with remarkably little wear considering age.

A  beautiful example of mid-century accessories.

• Velvet cuffs remain exceptionally well preserved
• Leather retains softness and flexibility
• General wear consistent with age and use
• Right thumb shows colour variation from wear
• Left thumb has approximately 2 cm seam separation
• Minor wear and creasing throughout leather
• Fastenings remain present and functional
